Inca trail Peru 4 days trek itinerary to Machu Picchu. This Inca trail tour is the most popular trek walked by hundreds of travelers every day. This adventure tour starts at km 82 and finishes in the new seven wonders of the world. Hiking 45 km / 26 miles which is rated a moderate hiking tour to Machu Picchu.
Pick up from your hotel then you go driving to the trailhead KM-82, there is a checkpoint where you have to show up your passport which needs to match with your permits, after you will start hiking the first couple hours will be pretty flat to arrive to the Inca site of Llactapata, after it will be another couple hours to arrive to the first lunch spot where the porters will be waiting with amazing Organic and fresh lunch.
After lunch comes the first uphill but you’ll get some time for breaks and continue for another couple of hours to reach our first campsite Ayapata- Base camp.
Organic breakfast in the morning. Then climb 5 hours to the highest point of our trip which is the famous “Dead Woman’s Pass” (4215 meters/13779 feet). This day will be memorable and unforgettable, as it is considered the most difficult day of the Inca Trail. After lunch, we will have 4 hours of hiking including breaks at each Inca site Runkurakay and Sayacmarca, then the last site is only 30 minutes away to reach the camp at Chaquicocha.
After breakfast, we’ll hike for 2 hours to the last Summit Phuyupatamarca. The best area to enjoy the flora, fauna, and views. Phuyupatamarca means “City in the Clouds” and IntiPata ” Sun above the terraces” is visited in the morning. Afterward lunch you get to visit Winay Wayña “Forever Young” an amazing Inca site, after visiting the ruins you get back to the campsite for dinner and say goodbye to your amazing team the porters
Today very early in the morning, we will have breakfast to move to the checkpoint and soon arrive at Machu Picchu, we will walk for a while to INTI PUNKU (Sun Gate) watching the impressive Machu Picchu in the distance and in turn will have a guided tour of 2 hours.
Concluding our visit we will return to Ollantaytambo to board our train back to Cusco.

The 4-day Classic Inca Trail is considered a medium to moderate level hike but it all depends on the physical condition of the traveler. The route is a trail full of a variety of climates so you will hike for four days at an elevation of about 13,828 feet (4,215 meters above sea level).
The best time to do the Inca Trail is between May and September is usually the most popular time to do the trek so the weather is fantastic, the rains have just ended and nature awaits you in its maximum splendor.
Almost anyone can do the hike, you just need to be in average physical condition: by this I mean that you exercise normally and eat healthy for at least 2 weeks before the hike.
