Your adventure begins as we pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 am. We’ll embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to the picturesque village of Yanacancha. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the region’s rich biodiversity, including the iconic alpacas and llamas native to the area.
Upon reaching the trailhead, we’ll indulge in a nourishing boxed breakfast. Afterward, a short 10-minute walk will lead us to a captivating viewpoint overlooking the stunning lake. Here, you’ll have ample time to explore the area, soak in its beauty, and capture memorable photographs. We’ll spend approximately 30 minutes at this picturesque spot.
Our journey then takes us down to the lake itself, where we’ll encounter a trout farming operation. After thoroughly exploring the lake, we’ll return to our van.
Next, we’ll drive to the charming village of Pampacancha, where a visit to the soothing hot springs awaits. Following a relaxing soak, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the same location.
Finally, we’ll board our van for the return journey to Cusco, aiming to arrive at approximately 5:00 pm.
