Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Km 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo.

06:10 – 07:40 | Train to Km 104

Enjoy a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley along the Urubamba River until reaching Km 104, the starting point of your hike.

08:00 – 12:00 | Trek to Wiñay Wayna

Begin your hike along the original Inca Trail, surrounded by lush vegetation and mountain views.
After approximately 3–4 hours, you’ll reach Wiñay Wayna, one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the route.

12:00 – 12:30 | Lunch Break

Enjoy a box lunch while taking in the incredible scenery.

12:30 – 15:30 | Hike to Sun Gate (Inti Punku)

Continue your trek toward the Sun Gate, the original entrance to Machu Picchu.
From here, you’ll enjoy your first breathtaking panoramic view of the citadel.

15:30 – 16:30 | Arrival at Machu Picchu

Descend toward Machu Picchu for a short visit and photos (full guided tour is usually done the next day if included in your program).

16:30 – 17:00 | Bus to Aguas Calientes

Take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town.

18:20 – 22:00 | Train Return to Cusco

Board the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by private transport to Cusco, arriving at your hotel in the evening.
